Our undoubted strength is in the quality of student who we attract. Our “students are a real asset to the academy’ because their ‘behaviour is excellent … they come ready to learn, keen to do well and apply themselves to tasks with diligence to complete them.’
Admissions Process
If your son/daughter is at school in County Durham you will receive a letter during September from the admissions team at Durham County Council. These letters are distributed by primary schools.
Children are no longer required to attend the closest secondary school to their home address. You can express up to 3 preferences for your child to be admitted into a secondary school of your choice. Park View School is the largest secondary school in Chester-le-Street and we can accommodate up to 240 students in each year group. We are a popular school and, as consideration is given to all applications received by the deadline of 31st October, we would encourage you to submit your application by that date.
If you live outside of County Durham you can still apply to Park View School, but you will need to complete the form provided by your Local Authority. The process is very similar to the one above and, again, we are more than happy to offer support to you throughout the process, either by personal or telephone contact.
If you would like to know more about the school or the application process, please contact the school via email at [email protected] or telephone on 0191 3882248.
Our Admissions Policy can be viewed on our Policies and Statutory Information page.
