We are proud to have established a Combined Cadet Force (CCF) at Park View School. The CCF aims to provide our students with opportunities to develop their leadership skills, and give them a greater sense of responsibility whilst also improving their self discipline, resourcefulness and team building skills through numerous activities.
We have always had an excellent reputation based largely on LORIC Skills (Leadership, Organisation, Resilience, Initiative and Communication) and on instilling high standards of professionalism and behaviour. The CCF will encourage all of our Cadets to display these skills consistently.
The CCF meets every Thursday evening, and a variety of activities and training tasks are completed. These activities are rewarding and fun. They involve first aid, field craft, navigation, drill, marksmanship, and a range of outdoor pursuits. There will also be opportunities to take part in trips away and summer camps.
The Cadet Force is currently made up with students in Years 9,10 and 11. Students at the start of Year 9 will be invited to make applications to join our CCF.
As we grow, there will be opportunities for promotion within the contingent to enable cadets to practise their leadership skills, deliver lessons and develop further. Presentations and trophies will also be awarded to those cadets who have excelled in particular areas.
